  • Care for rope Our rope has been crafted to last ,however it may change colour in the sun . Be sure to keep our creations clear of any hash rays. -To clean, we suggest you shake the item to dislodge dirt or dust . -Our products are robust , however if you encounter water- based spills , blot with paper towel as soon as possible and allow to dry . Do not rub stains or spills from your creations as this may spread the stain and loosen the cotton fibres . For oil based or coloured spills , please consult a specialist cleaning professional. You may choose a protection treatment prior to using our creation . We recommend Scotchgard tm who offer a DIY protection spray suitable for our cotton pieces.

“The simple art of tying a knot is an adventure in unlimited space...an excursion that is limited only by the scope of our own imagery and the length of the rope makers coil “
Clifford Ashley, The Ashley Book of Knots

The medium of rope has endless possibilities, and each creation is a new handcrafted challenge for Lea Oldjohn, designer and creator of  Corde Macrame. By using a variation of knots, these pieces can be worn or displayed as artworks.  Corde Macrame has a collection of bespoke homewares featuring pieces found in nature, adorned in cord, sculptured bowls and textured tote bags.

All  Corde Macrame’s rope is custom made in Melbourne from Australian grown cotton.
