This amazing vibrant jar full of zing, is made from long red chillies grown on the Mornington Peninsula. Use it as a marinade for chicken wings or ribs or pop it in a sandwich with salami and ricotta. It’s got plenty of heat but will not blow your head off.

Sam - BatchMade
is owned and operated by myself Sam Talbot and was established in 2017, I am based on the Mornington Peninsula.

I started cooking with my grandmother and learnt to make jams and chutneys using homegrown fruit and vegetables. Luckily, I inherited my grandma's handwritten recipe book and have adapted many of our current recipes from it.

I spent almost 30 years working in the clothing industry sourcing, developing, producing and teaching fashion for men, women and kids. Until a tap on my shoulder reminded me about the quality of life and BatchMade was born.

Now my ideal day is spent in the kitchen cooking jams, chutneys and pickles for BatchMade. We like to source locally grown fruit and vegetables from the 'Pen' where possible. And often trade surplus homegrown fruit or vegetables for some of our preserves.
