Celebrate the end of lockdown and raise money for FareShare to provide free, nutritious meals for people facing hardship, as well as providing employment for an out-of-work visiting chef.
These quality AS Colour t-shirts, will be printed with fun illustrations that accurately capture this crazy (and unprecedented!) period we have all ensured. We need a minimum order of 20 to start the print, so please jump on and grab yours (refunds will be given if we don't get there).
$10 from every shirt will be donated to 'FareShare's Good Food Chef' campaign.
This campaign was started by food writer Dani Valent, after researching the plight of visa-holding hospitality works. Read the article here: https://www.goodfood.com.au/eat-out/news/fighting-for-hospitality-workers-on-temporary-visas-20200508-h1nwu4
According to Dani, one in five chefs, one in four cooks, and one in five waiters, cafe and bar workers hold some form of temporary visa. These people move here to start a new life in Australia. These are the people that greet us, cook for us and serve us. They pay taxes, pay for public transport, buy groceries and are a key piece of this wonderful multicultural society.
To think that they are excluded from the assistance the rest of us are afforded and forced into an existence of survival is deeply troubling.
Please join us in this campaign to support these workers and the work of FareShare, who distributed more than 212,000 people doing it tough in April.

I've lived and worked in different various regional areas of Australia for pretty much my whole life. From a childhood on the south coast of NSW, a country boarding school, uni on the NSW north coast to finally settling with a young family in the Yarra Valley.
My working life has seen me dabble in everything from hospitality, catering, graphic design, website design, creative/business strategy and I've been the owner of a number of businesses in the same fields.
All these varied experiences have not actually lead to not a great deal, but it's been a hell of a ride!
