Maria Lieberman - Studio LUSPI
My name is Maria Lieberman and I am a teacher, ceramicist, a lover of mud and I’m living on Melbourne’s Mornington Peninsula!

I create functional and versatile pieces that are durable and reflect my passion for quality formations. I make a variety of different things from teaspoons to teapots and everything in between. Each piece is handmade, no two pieces are exactly the same. There may be slight variations in colour, dimension and texture, it all depends on where that piece sits in the kiln. This is what makes them unique and one-of-a-kind.
Ceramics takes time, precision and patience and cannot be rushed. It begins with preparing the clay for hand-building or wheel throwing, refining, drying, bisque firing (1st firing), glazing then back into the kiln for what is in most cases a final firing.
