The New Holland honeyeater (Phylidonyris novaehollandiae) is a honeyeater species found throughout southern Australia. It was among the first birds to be scientifically described in Australia and was initially named Certhia novaehollandiae. As a Photographer, l love nothing more than surrounding myself and getting lost amongst nature. The challenge of capturing these incredibly fast little birds brings a sense of achievement and satisfaction. The one message from my Bird Series is that we need to plant more Bird-Friendly tree's like Nectar flowering trees and shrubs that attract Honey Eaters to our gardens, its the simple things we can do to help our Australian wildlife thrive for generations to come.
