Long-handled teaspoon handmade from reclaimed hardwood. Ideal for deep jars where a regular teaspoon won't quite cut it, and as an ordinary teaspoon too!

Having reclaimed timber products in your home creates a connection to nature and an appreciation for whatever you are using it for, whether it is making a cup of tea, adding spices to the pan or adding sugar to your pancakes.

The act of hand carving creates a state of mindfulness and enlightenment that I believe can transfer to you when you use one of these products. All you have to do is slow down, empty the mind and experience only the act of using that spoon or utensil. Just as I do when I'm creating it.

Finished in a food-safe pure tung oil and citrus mix.

If the item is sold out, a custom piece can be made. Please allow 3-4 weeks build time depending on my workload at the time.

  • Measures approx. 155mm long x 30mm wide.
  • Do not soak or place in dishwasher
  • Made from locally sourced reclaimed messmate
Timber Wing Designs - Timber Wing Designs
Operating in Bellbrae on the Great Ocean Road for the big stuff, and a home workshop in Geelong for the small stuff, Timber Wing Designs uses locally sourced reclaimed timber to create beautiful pieces of furniture and hand carvings.

Owned and operated by Mark Brennan, creating timber designs has been a passion for years, beginning with making longboard skateboards (Guru Boards), and gradually evolving to making furniture and creating hand carved items.

No two pieces will ever be exactly the same so you will be guaranteed to have something unique with every purchase. Having real timber in the home creates a warmth and connection to nature that you can’t get from other materials, which is even more pronounced with reclaimed timber.

The timber is salvaged from demolition sites around Australia, which is transported to our suppliers and dressed, so that it can be inspected on the racks before purchasing. Each piece of timber is hand selected by myself, matching grains, colours and features of the wood.

Sourcing reclaimed timber is one of the most important aspects of the business, not just due to its beauty, charm and history, but it is one of the most environmentally friendly methods of creating furniture.

Sustainability is one of the most important aspects of the business, which is why our pieces are designed to stand the test of time both structurally and aesthetically. Cheap, mass produced furniture and homewares not only appears dull, but comes with a low level of value and importance, which is why so much of it eventually ends up in landfill. This is what we hope to eliminate.

From our business cards made from recycled card, to using offcuts for hand carved utensils, each part of the business is dedicated to having the smallest environmental footprint as possible.
