In this colourful print from Australian inter-war graphic artist James Northfield, viewers are encouraged to visit Mildura ‘for Winter sunshine’.

The region’s large scale production of orchard fruits and proximity to the Murray River is utilised to entice visitors from Melbourne for a winter escape.

This print forms a part of a range of tourism posters that James Northfield was commissioned to produce from the 1910’s through to the 1930’s.
