Sal has over 30 (!!!) years of experience in retail management and is currently a commercial real estate agent in Sale. Lover of animals great and small, travelling and being an Aunty to a tribe of nieces and nephews. Sal does the majority of our deliveries and we can assure you all the salts are enthusiastically sung to with 80's classics.
Em is a born and bred Sale girl! Working in many local hospo venues over the years as a barista, restaurant manager and chef. Currently the Executive Chef of The Criterion Hotel, Sale which was the "Winner of the 2021 AHA Victorian Regional Hotel of The Year".
Lover of gin, gardening, dogs and art.
Cooking with salt, using brines, cures and confit salts is something Em's done for years, as well as making flavoured salts. The cocktail salts come from a love of Margarita's and sunshine.
When Covid hit and we were forced into lockdown after lockdown, we decided to take this passion and turn it into a side hustle. With our first orders going out in early September 2021 we have been amazed and humbled by how our little company has taken off. We now have over 15 stockists and work with many more amazing companies. Not to mention being able to support other local businesses and buy from them. We use as much local produce as we can from the beautiful Gunaikurnai Country we live on and are proud to show off Gippsland.
All in all, we are just a couple of 'salt shakers', doing what we love. E & S xox
